I shared some of my goals for the year last week in a bonus newsletter. One of those goals was that I am hoping to read through the New Testament this year.
I'm a bit of a goal setter and often I can be a bit overambitious when I'm setting goals. I'm trying to work on not always setting incredibly overambitious goals, rather setting myself achievable goals for the year ahead.
Spending time with God shouldn't feel like hard work, and yet it often does. Each morning, I have a routine which helps me read my Bible and spend a little time in prayer. Whenever that schedule is interrupted, my daily Bible reading and prayer is often skipped.
This year, I am hoping to seek after God each day. It may not always happen, but I hope that this might be a goal that stays with me all the days of my life.
