Held in His Hand

"The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him;

though he may stumble, he will not fall,

for the Lord upholds Him with His hand."

Psalm 37:23-24

I recently shared this verse with a friend in a birthday card. It's not one that I had ever thought that much about, but as soon as I found it whilst I was writing that birthday card, I was struck by just how beautiful an image it was.

You don't need me to tell you that life can be pretty hard sometimes. It can feel like we are sometimes struggling to stay upright. To keep our heads above water.

In these times, and at all times, it is a great comfort to know that God will continue to hold us. Even if we trip, He will not let us fall because He is holding us in His hands. In difficult times, it can feel like we are all alone in our struggles. But it is such a comfort in these times to know that God is with us throughout. We are held in His hands.

He is holding us. And He will not let go.
